Boots the adventures




The concept for this was making an animated GIF which was based off an arcade game intro. I decided to do a side scroller intro like the 2D Mario games.

Chicken Run is a 15 second stop motion animation. All pictures were taking on my phone and strung together in and editing software. This is an all out war between my plushes.

This is a 15 second blender animation of A crow sleeping on a tree peacefully. Though... what great plot twists await his slumber?

TWO WEEKS AWAY!!

As we wrap up the semester, your final portfolio will showcase the range of animation techniques we’ve explored. This is your opportunity to bring your ideas to life and demonstrate your growth as an animator.


Portfolio Requirements

Your final submission should include the following components:

  • Video Game Teaser
    Create a short teaser that introduces a concept for a video game. Focus on mood, character, and world-building.
  • Stop Motion Animation (approximately 15 seconds)
    A short stop-frame piece that demonstrates timing, movement, and physical storytelling.
  • Digital 2D Animation (approximately 15 seconds)
    A hand-drawn or digitally illustrated animation that highlights your understanding of motion and sequencing.
  • Digital 3D Animation (approximately 15 seconds)
    A brief 3D animation showcasing basic modeling, movement, and camera work.

Process Work (Required)

In addition to your animations, your portfolio must include:

  • Concept Sketches
    Early drawings and idea development for your animations.
  • Storyboards
    Visual plans that map out your scenes, timing, and transitions.

 

This final portfolio should reflect both your creativity and your technical development throughout the course. Take the time to refine your work and present it in a clear, thoughtful way.
